Spread Love Not Drugs Flyer

A wonderful group of 7th and 8th graders are running a project for Step Up called, "London Community Matters: Spread Love not Drugs." This project is to spread awareness on use of fentanyl and other drugs. Our small community of New London has been experiencing overdoses and drug related situations that are impacting our community as a whole. As a team we want to step up to drug use in hopes of preventing it from further disrupting our community and youth. Fentanyl and other drugs have become a problem in our community and we are teaming up with local partners to help in any way that we can. We have hosted a drug prevention rally for Junior High here on our campus with guest speakers to spread the word of drug prevention and intervention. In addition, we will be hosting and collaborating with multiple events to further our knowledge and educate those who are unaware. These events include; February 29th, An information booth at Family Literacy Night, March 2nd, A large community event in New London, A guest speaker from Mothers against drunk driving on campus on March 4th, and an information booth at the New London Family Literacy and Easter Night. We hope to spread awareness, give out FREE NARCAN, and educate the community on this serious topic. Our step up team: Noemi Meza, Jasmin Pineda, Jonathan Valadez, & Rodrigo Pacheco with advisor Ms. Sophia Perez. Please join us in spreading love not drugs within our communities, schools, and homes.
